Special Attractions & Extreme Action

Over 14 days, Showgoers witnessed a number of top-notch performers, MotoX riders, sporting heroes, professional drivers, acrobatic entertainers and many more graced the stage to enlighten and dazzle crowds.

The Footy Show Woodchop Stadium has played host to a number of woodchop and sawing legends who made woodchips fly. Competitors came from far and near, some even from overseas, and ranged from juniors to veterans. Being one of the most popular events, the stadium was a packed-house throughout the Show.

In bucking style, rodeo riders braved their bulls and thrilled audiences over eight
nights at the Show. Eighteen Open Senior Riders and five Junior Riders, some
as young as 15, took on 220 of the fiercest bulls in the Sydney Royal Bull Riding
Spectacular
. The NAB Arena was full to the brim with crowds on Sunday 30 March
as the Open Bull Ride Final played out.

The Show would not have been complete without the extremities from the Xtreme
Korruption
team. With 28 shows in total, audiences were on the edge of their seats
as skill and stunts combined in dynamic style.

The Freestyle MotoX boys roared up the ramps, performing flips and tricks that defied
gravity. Ripping up the dirt, the Toyota V6 Hilux Heroes were a crowd favourite,
demonstrating extreme driving not seen on the road, while the Dangerman Highwire
Trapeze Act
amazed from above with feats you had to see to believe.

Showcasing extreme action and special attractions, the 2008 Show was
entertainment central, as children and adults alike delighted in the feats and treats on
display everyday of the Show.
