Schools & Education

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a fantastic educational opportunity for school students of all ages. For many years students from the city and country have been visiting the Show to soak up the sights, sounds and smells of rural Australia. From District Exhibits and livestock judging, to hands-on demonstrations and booked-in sessions about Australian agriculture, farm life and history, there is something to interest students of all ages.

The pre-booked sessions allow students to have the opportunity to learn more about a range of areas including cattle husbandry, cooking and food preparation demonstrations, cow milking and sheep shearing. Students can interact with the animals and get up close to the action, enhancing the learning process.
The Passport to the Show also encourages students to be a part of various interactive activities from sieving wheat to learning about animal breeds all at one of the world’s largest events.

The Show has created flexible admission offers for school groups, designed to
make your entire excursion easy and fun. Price details for the 2009 Show will be released at a later date.

A range of worksheets and resources for teachers are also produced to aid teachers and students through their Show experience.
