The Arts & Crafts Pavilion is a unique and memorable attraction, offering visitors the chance to witness skilled artisans bring their crafts to life through live demonstrations. This rare glimpse into the creative process highlights diverse techniques, from wood turning to embroidery. Beyond the Show, it provides an opportunity to connect with guilds and associations, opening pathways for visitors to explore new crafts and even join these communities.

As Australia’s largest Arts & Crafts Competition, and a cherished feature of the Sydney Royal Easter Show since 1869, it continues to inspire creativity and foster lasting connections.

Originally developed in the mustering camps of rural Queensland, Campdrafting has been a part of the Sydney Royal Horse competitions at the Show since 1934.

In 1948 the Word Championship Campdraft was introduced, giving the best campdrafters in the country the opportunity to compete, “cutting out” a cow from the mob and moving it around a course. Points are awarded for horsemanship and for control over the cow while completing the course.

The cattle for the Sydney Royal World Championship Campdraft are generously provided each year by Ellerston Pastoral Company in Scone, whilst the skill of the horsemen is developed over years of training and real-life experience.

This iconic event has been taking place at the Show since 1907. Watch as the best of the best in Australian agriculture make their way around the ENGIE Stadium in a spectacular procession. Keeping everything in order are the Greencoats, highly skilled stewards mounted on grey horses, most of whom have been doing the job for many years.

The Grand Parade is an opportunity to pay silent homage to Sydney Royal Competition winners including animals, producers, champion woodchoppers, and future community leaders in a celebration of Australian agriculture. Why silent? The four-legged participants are more used to the serene peace and quiet of life on the farm, so give them a friendly wave and hold the applause until after they have left ENGIE Stadium!

The Sydney Royal Easter Show Grand Parade is believed to be the first of its kind in the world and has been mirrored by every major agricultural show in Australia.

This great initiative celebrates man's best friend and the incredible bond that exists between dogs and humans. Each year we launch a search for a ‘Canine Hero’ in two categories, ‘Service Dog’ and ‘Companion Dogs’.

These dogs could have performed a remarkable feat in the trained service of people, such as search, rescue or therapy, or they could be a treasured pet who has saved a life.

Our winners are crowned on Best in Show Day and each receive a prize of $1500 thanks to the Australasian Animal Registry.

Life is sweetest with a place to call home, a spot to rest after a hard day’s work – and bees are no different. Help our fuzzy honey-makers with an eco-friendly hotel they can use between visits to your garden flowers.

Without bees, 75% of our food crops wouldn’t exist, so these hotels benefit us as much as them. The Bee Hotel Workshops are free for children, with all materials provided, plus assistance in making them and tips for hanging your hotel at home.
