Animal Walk
Visiting the Sydney Royal Easter Show was like stepping into a rural paradise without leaving the city!
For two weeks every year, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is home to over 13,000 animals representing over 400 different breeds and over 6,000 agricultural exhibitors. When you come to the Show, you can see them all up close to experience what it must be like on a country farm.
From black-faced baby lambs and woolly Merino being shorn in the Sheep pavilion, to tiny baby piglets oinking and running around, and soft angora and cheeky miniature goats in the Pig & Goat pavilion, to the amazing array of dozens and dozens of different breeds and colours of chickens and geese and turkey in the Poultry Pavilion, where baby chicks also hatch every day of Show. You’ll go through the Horse pavilion where you can see the magnificent show jumping horses, the Cattle pavilion where bulls and cows moo on cue, and to top it all off, you can walk an alpaca and take an alpaca-selfie for a memory that lasts a lifetime.
That is the goal of the Sydney Royal Easter Show—to create a fun and educational opportunity that connects the country and the city in a meaningful way, putting smiles on faces and creating lasting memories. Come to the Sydney Royal Easter Show where you can enjoy your time in the country—in the city.
